Shipping and handling costs on orders will be determined at the
time of shipment. All shipments are FOB shipping point from Steven
Engineering. Orders are shipped Monday through Friday and will ship
the same day for all in-stock items when the order is received before
5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (for selected carriers). Orders
received on Saturday and Sunday will be shipped on the following
business day, with the exception of company observed holidays: Memorial
Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's. Shipping method, in most cases, is the customer's choice.
Steven Engineering is not responsible for charges resulting to disputes
of third party shipping and/or consignee billing. Transit times
are estimates only and Steven Engineering will not be liable for
delays.
Freight Shipments - Freight will be shipped by United Parcel
Service (UPS), for orders with a maximum size of 130 inches (length
plus girth) and a maximum weight of 70 pounds.
Common Carrier Truck - Large items, heavy loads and special
handling orders can be shipped economically by common carrier truck.
Any shipment weighing less than 100 pounds will be charged at the
minimum 100-pound rate as specified by truck carriers.
Air Freight - Same-day, counter-to-counter, door-to-door,
next day, 2nd day and 3rd day are all available at the customer's
expense.
CUT OFF TIMES:
UPS Next Day - Orders must be received by 4:00 p.m. Pacific
Standard Time to be eligible for same day shipment. Saturday delivery
service is available for most shipments for an additional charge.
For C.O.D. shipments, an additional charge will be applied.
UPS 2nd Day/UPS 3rd Day - Orders must be received by 5:00
p.m. Pacific Standard Time to be eligible for same day shipment.
For C.O.D. shipments, an additional charge will be applied.
UPS Ground - Orders must be received by 5:00 p.m. Pacific
Standard Time to be eligible for same day shipment. For C.O.D. shipments,
an additional charge will be applied.
Federal Express - Orders must be received by 3:00 p.m. Pacific
Standard Time to be eligible for same day shipment. Saturday delivery
service is available for most shipments for an additional charge.
For C.O.D. shipments, an additional charge will be applied.
Truck Shipments - We use All Van Transportation, Mathison
Fast Freight, or Roadway Express for truck shipments. Orders must
be received by 3:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time to be eligible for
same day shipment. For C.O.D. shipments, an additional charge will
be applied.
All Other Carriers - Orders must be received by 12:00 p.m.
Pacific Standard Time to be eligible for same day shipment. For
C.O.D. shipments, an additional charge may be applied.
SCHEDULED DELIVERIES:
All orders for future scheduled deliveries must be confirmed in
writing by purchase order with specific delivery information. Any
changes in delivery schedules must be in writing and agreed upon
and confirmed by Steven Engineering. Changes in quantity may result
in a cancellation or restock fee.
SHIPMENT DAMAGE:
Products shipped from Steven Engineering's distribution center is
carefully packed in compliance with manufacturer, carrier and/or
customer requirements. A Customer Service Representative must be
contacted for claims for loss or damage in transit. All shipments
should be fully unpacked and inspected immediately upon receipt.
It is important to keep the shipping carton, packing material and
parts intact for inspection by the carrier's agent.
Any external evidence of loss or damage must be noted on the freight
bill or carrier's receipt and signed by the carrier's agent. Failure
to do this will result in the carrier refusing to honor the claim.
If damage is not discovered until the shipment is unpacked, make
a request for inspection by the carrier's agent and file a claim
with the carrier.
