IDEC announces the release of WindSRV version 5.2. WindSRV, also known as KEPServerEX, is an OPC server developed exclusively by Kepware Technologies for IDEC. It’s the most cost effective and flawless controls OPC solution on the market. WindSRV provides direct connectivity between client applications, such as Microsoft Excel and IDEC MicroSmart Pentra PLCs. It’s a true plug-and-play OPC Server for effortless data management, acquisition, monitoring and control.

What’s new in WindSRV 5.2?
With the success of the MicroSmart Pentra PLCs, it was essential that WindSRV be upgraded to support MicroSmart Pentra functions and capabilities. WindSRV version 5.2 now supports MicroSmart Pentra’s full range of addressing, including 32-bit data and floating points. WindSRV 5.2 also supports the new Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, as well as Windows 98, NT, 2000, Server 2003, XP and Vista.
How can you get WindSRV 5.2?
KEPServerEX 5.2 is available for purchase using the three part numbers located in the attached brochure. For current WindSRV 4.xx users, a new license is required, which means you will have to purchase one of these part numbers.
