Steven Engineering wants to demonstrate our commitment to privacy by providing you this privacy policy statement.

What information do we collect?

When ordering from us online, on the phone, or in person, or registering an account on our website, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, phone number or other details to help you with your purchase.

We have collected the following categories of personally identifiable information (“PII”) from consumers within the last twelve (12) months:

Cookies:

Steven Engineering’s site uses cookies for the purpose of session identification, statistical purposes, and to improve the site’s overall operational quality. PII is not stored in the cookie; your browser randomly issues a number that assists you to sign in and place items in your order pad for purchase. For added protection, Steven Engineering’s cookie session will time out after two hours of detected site inactivity. We do not associate non-PII with PII.
You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (such as, Internet Explorer) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser’s Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
If you disable cookies, some features will be disabled. As a result, some of our services will not function properly.

When do we collect information?

We collect PII from you when you fill out a form or enter information on our website, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, or respond to a marketing communication. As discussed, we also use cookies that collect non-PII about your activities on our website.

Do we disclose information?

We do not and will not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer PII. However, under limited circumstances we may share your PII.

Service Providers:

We may disclose your personal information to a third party for a business purpose. When we disclose personal information for a business purpose, we enter a contract that describes the purpose and requires the recipient to both keep that personal information confidential and not use it for any purpose except performing the contract.

We may provide your personal information to companies that provide services to help us with our business activities, such as companies who provide customer support to you on our behalf. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

Business Transfers:

In the event that we sell or transfer a particular portion of our business assets, our users’ information may be transferred as part of the transaction. If substantially all of our assets are acquired, user information may be transferred as part of the acquisition.

Compliance with Law/Safety:

We may disclose PII based on a good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to comply with or conform to the law or that such disclosure is necessary to protect the users of our website, the website itself, or the public.

How do we protect your information?

Steven Engineering makes commercially reasonable efforts to protect the confidentiality of your information and to protect against unauthorized access. Our website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of sensitive information under our control. However, the security of information transmitted through the internet can never be guaranteed. We are not responsible for any interception or interruption of any communications through the internet or for changes to or losses of data.

Does our site allow third party behavioral tracking?

We do not allow third party behavioral tracking. As of the effective date of this Privacy Statement, there is no commonly accepted response for Do Not Track signals initiated by browsers, therefore we do not respond to them.

How can you know what information we have about you or ask that we delete your information?

You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will disclose to you:

  • The categories of personal information we collected about you.
  • The categories of sources for the personal information we collected about you.
  • Our business or commercial purpose for collecting that personal information.
  • The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information.
  • The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you (also called a data portability request).
  • If we sold or disclosed your personal information for a business purpose, two separate lists disclosing:
    • sales, identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient purchased; and
    • disclosures for a business purpose, identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient obtained.
  • You also have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected about you and retained, subject to certain legal exceptions.

Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will process your request, unless an exception applies. And, if you requested that we delete your data, we will also direct our service providers to similarly delete your personal information from their records.

To exercise these rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request in one of the ways listed below under “Contact Us” or through our portal, here. Only you, or someone you authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.

A verifiable consumer request must:

  • Provide enough information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative; and
  • Describe your request with enough detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

We will not discriminate against you for submitting a request and we will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties, provide you a different level or quality of goods or services, or suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

How can you correct or update your information?

If your personal information changes, you may correct, update, or amend it by contacting us via one of the methods listed below under “Contact Us.”

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Children

We do not knowingly collect or maintain information from any person under the age of thirteen (13). No part of our website is directed to or designed to attract anyone under the age of thirteen (13). In the event that we learn that we have inadvertently gathered such information, we will take reasonable measures to erase such information from our records.

Updates to Our Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our online information practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by a prominent notice on our site. Please check back from time to time to be aware of any changes to the Privacy Policy.
