Banner Engineering introduces the SLE3 and SLU4 Series, two new slot sensors for labeling items on an automated production line.

FEATURES

• Fixed slot width provides precise opposed-mode sensing to recognize individual labels or their paper backing as they are fed through automated labeling equipment at high speeds.
• The SLE3 Series sensor is equipped with a high-intensity infrared LED, which can penetrate thicker label backing paper and is less sensitive to web flutter.
• The SLU4 Series sensor uses ultrasonic technology rather than light, enabling it to detect transparent labels as well as opaque labels and identify differences in label thickness.
• Both sensors are designed with a narrow slot between two arms with the emitter and receiver mechanically aligned for ease of installation.
