Turck has introduced their excom GEN-N and GEN-3G I/O System for Ex and Non-Ex Areas. Each module rack can be run with two power supply units and two gateways – this redundancy provides optimum system availability. The GEN-N Ethernet multiprotocol gateway makes its excom remote I/O system fit for industrial Ethernet networks. The GEN-N makes it possible to integrate the excom system in higher-level Ethernet networks with the Profinet, Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP protocols. The GEN-3G, ideal for the process industry, is a Class 1 Division 2 Ethernet Gateway for an excom I/O system. As a multiprotocol device, the new GEN-3G also operates at high data rates in Profinet, Ethernet/IP or Modbus TCP networks.
